New York Snow Daze

Last week was a fun week to be a photographer in New York.  The tremendous amounts of snow, sleet and slush that blanketed the streets and swallowed the cars was quite a sight to be seen.  Thankfully, I didn’t have to drive anywhere.  But as the snow fell last Wednesday night, I was a bit worried about the wedding happening on the weekend upcoming!   But it tapered out and we had a great background of snow -with not to chilly temperatures for the big day on Saturday.

Still, I’ll never forget the stages of the city under snow on Thursday.  Here are some pictures I made in the morning, afternoon, and right after sunset.  Brooklyn Heights.

So what about that wedding?  More tk!  Stay tuned for some Engagement Session and Wedding Previews this week!  Stay safe out there!

  2. All three are great… but love the top b/w. Always a sucker for b/w, and the composition is impeccable. Very cool.

Canon vs Nikon WHAT is the difference besides the name? And have you ever used Canon? Forgive me if to anyone these are dumb question, but hey I’m just starting out. I NEED to know.

    • The difference is primarily in ergonomics. Exposure principles are the same, and performance will generally be the same among similarly priced cameras. If you’re starting out, I would try holding both cameras, and see which feels better in your hand! The one that feels better will encourage you to shoot more, and tthe best camera is the one you use!
