Preview: Engagement Shoot with Jackie & Luis in Snowy Central Park

Jackie and Luis are some new friends of mine that opted for an engagement session in the snow!  We had great fun, though I wish we had time to make a snow man.  But three’s a crowd!

So, I’m now processing the coldest shoot I’ve ever done – In a snow covered Central Park NY.   We started at the edge of the park, looking back at the towering buildings of Manhattan.  As we walked inward toward Bethesda Fountain, it seemed like we had disappeared into a wintery wonderland in a dream.  At least, that’s how I wanted to portray it!  Jacke and Luis were both dressed nice and warm for the shoot.  I found out that my gloves are too big to use an SLR with, that fingers freeze rather quickly, and that you MUST use higher ISOs and shutter speeds to negate your chattering teeth and shaking hands. Hehe.  Love melts the ice, though.

Almost finished with the finals, but here’s 10 developed previews from the shoot!  Hope you like.

See that face?  That’s the face of a happy man.

Congrats Jackie and Luis!

    • Thanks RK! I’m glad they look natural together. I give a few posing directions, but it’s usually just to get them real close. 😀

  5. Gorgeous series… they will treasure these forever. That’s the amazing thing about wedding and engagement photos. Your work has the ability to capture a moment in their life that they now can hold on to. Such an amazing and humbling opportunity.. and you do it well!! (BTW, that last photo… he may be a happy man, but she ain’t too miserable either! Haha!)
